Here are the answers to some of our frequently asked questions:
Getting Help...
You can come once a month. You will be given a dated card to return usually a month later. You can always return later than that date, but not earlier.
Please note that there are different hours each day. Since many people come for help, you should arrive early and be prepared to stand in line. Especially if you are coming for the first time, please come early. We will only be able to help 40 people each time we are open.
Expect to wait in line. Visits are an average of an hour from the time you arrive until you are finished.
There is no charge. Everything is freely given in Jesus’ name.
- Food, clothing, and household items:
Based on donations we receive, we are able to provide non-perishable food items, clothes, personal hygiene items, and small household items. - Help with utilities, groceries and gas:
We can provide limited help with utilities, and limited help with gift cards for groceries or gas. Sorry, these are not available on first-time visits. - Transportation:
We can provide gas vouchers and bus passes on a limited basis.
Sorry, but we are unable to provide money for rent or hotel rooms, and we do not offer medical services or counseling.
We are a Christian organization and would love to hear your story and find ways to help in any way that we’re able.
Donating...
We accept clothing and shoes of all sizes and for all ages. We also accept small housewares, bed and bath linens, and food with appropriate “Best By” dates.
Because we have limited space, we are unable to accept furniture, computers, printers, older TVs, incomplete or broken items, or prescriptions items.

Volunteering...
To inquire about volunteering, send an email to cocgreeley@outlook.com with “volunteer” in the subject line. We’d like to know before you come.
Please be ready to come 30-45 minutes before opening to complete paperwork, visit with a staff member and learn a task you can do at the COC. Most jobs require standing for 3 hours.
Adult men and women who are like-minded may go through a trial and vetting process to volunteer.
At the discretion of the Director, you may be able to arrange this for an older child. Parents must work alongside their child. Please contact the COC via email at least a week in advance to arrange this.
We may need people who can speak Spanish or Creole or would be able to pick up items from other locations and deliver to the COC. We also welcome people who might to like to serve as Ambassadors to clubs, churches, or other groups interested in partnering with the COC.
